The highlight on Bloemfontein’s event calendar for this month is the Wirulink Tempe Airshow taking place on Saturday, 25 May.
Enthusiasts can bring the whole family to experience the thrilling displays of a variety of aircraft at the New Tempe Airport.
The first session takes place from 10:00 until 13:00; and the second session, with the same participants, starts at 14:00 and runs until 17:30.
During the lunch break there will be a parade of airplanes, super cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
As part of the air show, more than 40 stalls offering a variety of food and drinks, gifts, and much more can be expected.
Karoo will be the live entertainment at the after-party in the beer tent until late in the evening.
Rest assured, the beer tent will be open during the air show.
The restaurant at the Airborne Café will also be open to serve its patrons until late.
For the children in attendance, there will be a play area where they can amuse themselves and relax.
People can bring their gazebo and camping chairs to enjoy a fun-filled day at the air show. No cooler boxes allowed, however.
Tickets are available through Webtickets at any Pick n Pay outlet, as well as at the gate on the day of the event. Entry costs R180 for adults, and R100 for children aged six to 17 years. Children younger than six years may enter for free.
