The Oliewenhuis Art Museum brings lots to do for children and their parents during the coming winter holiday.
Children aged 5 to 12 years are invited to free Frosty Fun workshops daily from Monday (26/06) to Friday (30/06) from 10:00 to 13:00.
The aim of the workshops is to have fun, to learn new arts and craft skills and to experiment with a variety of materials. Each workshop will consist of two practical art activities and outside games.
Only limited space available. Bookings can be done by writing an email to olwh@nasmus.co.za. No telephonic bookings will be accepted.
While the children are having fun, their parens can pop into the Reservoir where the exibition of the Art Bank of South Africa (ArtbankSA) This is us.
This exibition is celebrating 29 years of freedom in South Africa. Featuring artworks from the ArtbankSA Contemporary Art Collection, the exhibition aims to spotlight the mundane lives of South Africans, mothers, fathers, children, and workers.
The Art Bank of South Africa is a national programme of the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture as part of the Mzansi Golden Economy (MGE) strategy implementation and is hosted by the National Museum Bloemfontein, an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture.
The vision of the Art Bank is to promote, foster and stimulate a vibrant market for the collection of South African contemporary visual art.

Secure parking at Oliewenhuis is available in front of the museum. Entry fee is R10 per vehicle, payable in cash only.
