The Bloemfontein Children’s Choir (BCC) is hosting summer auditions for the 2023 choir.
Children between the ages of nine and 15 years are welcome to audition on 4 February.
The choir was established 36 years ago as a shining beacon of quality children’s choral music.
In 2020, the choir appointed Werner Stander as director of music, continuing on an exciting path towards the future.
The BCC has performed on local, national, and international stages. The choir returned from a European tour to Belgium, France, and Germany with an exceptional performance at Euro Disney in December 2022, captivating audiences and receiving standing ovations.
The choir’s first performance will be in March in Cape Town at the National Conductors Convention.
The BCC was invited to perform at this prestigious event. Leading conductors like Renette Bouwer of the University of Johannesburg Choir and Vaughan van Zyl of the Drakensberg Boys Choir will present, as well as famous conductors Eriks Ešenvalds from Latvia and Dr André Thomas from America.
