The provincial championship of the World Fitness Federation (WFF) for the Free State and Northern Cape was held at Bains Lodge on 3 September.
This was a qualifier for the WFF National Championship that will take place on 15 October in KwaZulu-Natal, and everyone who reached top spots qualified to participate.
The national event will in turn be a qualifier for the WFF World Championships that has been scheduled to be held in Indonesia in November.
Athletes from Bloemfontein who placed in the top positions at the provincial championships are:
- Moeketsi Mosese: winner in men’s denim jeans models; 4th in masters over 40 and 3rd in men’s Bermuda model; 2nd in men’s fitness body building (classic);
- William Motingoe: winner in the men’s Bermuda division and men’s performance body building;
- Sivuyile Moji: winner in men’s fitness body building;
- André du Plessis: 3rd in masters over 40
- Bokgang Mooko: 3rd in the men’s novice division; 4th junior 23 years and under; and 8th in the men’s denim jeans model division;
- Juane Otto: winner in the men’s athletic body building; 2nd men’s sport model; 2nd in the couples line-up; and
- Christopher Boshoff: 3rd junior 23 years and under; 5th men’s denim jeans model; and 4th in couples line-up.
In the women’s division, the following women took top spots:
- Shané Otto: 2nd in women’s bikini model; 2nd in Miss Glamour; and 2nd in the couples line-up;
- Sunita Botha: 3rd in women’s bikini model and 3rd in Miss Glamour; and
- Zandri Harmse: 4th in women’s bikini model; 4th in Miss Glamour and 4th in the couples line-up.
