A unique event that forms part of the Humanity Project will take place in Bloemfontein this Saturday (22/10) with a concert by renowned artist PJ Powers, together with the Soweto Gospel Choir.

This comes one day after a similar event on Friday in Kimberley.

The Vernon Philander Foundation and Harvest Food came together to create Co Legacy to work together and build a sustainable system to help impoverished communities.

The Humanity Project is a 12-month project aimed to uplift and restore struggling communities by providing a nutricious, wholesome meal to those in need.

Together with PJ Powers and the Soweto Gospel Choir, local choirs including the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir and Bloemfontein Mannekoor, as well as the Grey Gumboot Dancers will perform on stage at the Kopanong Auditorium.

Local charities that will be supported by The Humanity Project in Bloemfontein are Let’s Start Kids, as well as Engo, set to receive 20 000 food parcels from Harvest Food.

Saturday’s concert will start at 19:00. Tickets cost R180 at computicket.com.
