Dedication to safety lauded

Several police officers, as well as members of the Northern Neighbourhood Watch Association (NNWA), have been honoured by the relevant community policing forum (CPF) for their work in the community.


Several police officers, as well as members of the Northern Neighbourhood Watch Association (NNWA), have been honoured by the relevant community policing forum (CPF) for their work in the community.

CPF Sector 1 of the Bayswater Police Station awarded Zenith Merit Certificates for several reasons at the funcion at Bloem Spa on 1 April.

WO Johan Koortzen and WO Fritz Beyer received certificates for preventing a suicide attempt on 20 November last year

Capt. Kelao­tswe Lebodi was awarded a certificate for his department’s involvement in arresting a suspect one day after a murder took place on 23 November last year.

Two officers, Sgt Anton Bester and Sgt Pinky Sekoera was awarded the Zenith Merit Certificate for their ongoing community involvement with the Lettie Fouché School.

Two members of the NNWA, Zane Koeberg and Florein de Winnaar, also received a letter of thanks and appreciation for their project aimed at beautifying the Bayswater Police Station charge office.
