The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS) is planning an entertaining Winter Warmer Indoor Picnic for 28 July.
Residents of Bloemfontein can gather friends and family, pack a picnic basket, bring a blanket and enjoy a heartfelt performance by the Free State Youth Wind Ensemble with Dr Nicholas Pearce and Prof. Hanneke Brits, performing Bob Marley’s rendition of the “Three Little Birds”. The Medical students will also perform. Lucy Sehloho will perform with the UFS Bloemfontein Campus Choir.
The picnic will start at 16:30 for 17:00 in the Callie Human Centre.
Entry calls for non-perishable food or sanitary items – even donate the picnic blanket. All proceeds will go to the No Student Hungry (NSH) programme, which ensures students who have an excellent academic record, but are food insecure, are provided with healthy food options to complete their studies.
