The second Wellness Fair was hosted by the University of the Free State (UFS) from 14 to 16 March in the Callie Human Centre on the main campus in Bloemfontein.
Burneline Kaars, head of the Division for Organisational Development and Employee Well-Being, said the week was presented to promote and encourage a culture of well-being among staff members.
The fair was also open to the public, and more than 800 people attended.
Additionally, more than 700 staff members partook in medical screening tests as part of the fair.
In supporting the well-being theme for the year, “Building your well-being brick by brick”, exhibitors covered aspects of financial, physical, environmental, psychological and social well-being.
“They were selected based on their expertise in their respective health and well-being fields, and their ability to offer resources and services that align with the health and wellness fair’s goals and objectives,” added Kaars.
