Two players of the University of the Free State (UFS) and a former Kovsie helped South Africa make history at the Fast5 Netball World Series in New Zealand.

Martha Mosoahle-Samm, coach; Refiloe Nketsa, vice-captain; and Xandri Fourie were part of the contingent that claimed a first-ever silver medal.

The top six netball teams in the world are invited, and South Africa is ranked fifth.

A young South African Fast5 side defied the odds and produced superb performances in Christchurch, New Zealand, this weekend.
