The members of Club-X-Society and sponsors treated 24 children of four schools in Heidedal to special parcels on Saturday (29/07).
Basil Fillies, chairperson, and the other 18 members of the club gifted three boys and three girls of the Heide Primary School, as well as of the primary schools Olympia, Credence and Joe Solomon, school uniforms, food, stationery and a Bible each, among other items. The children were also spoiled with a take-away meal each.
Represented at the event, held at Heide Primary, were governing body members of the four schools, as well as parents and principals.
Since 2016, Club-X-Society has overseen this annual handover as part of its Mandela Day celebrations.
