A seminar with the aim of fostering a culture of openness and understanding of mental health issues will be held in Bloemfontein next week.

The University of the Free State’s (UFS) human resources department is hosting a half-day seminar to raise awareness of mental health issues, reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness, and provide support and resources to individuals who may be struggling.

Individuals will be empowered to take proactive steps in managing their mental health. This includes providing tools and strategies for managing stress and addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression and bullying.

The seminar will be held from 13:00 to 16:30 on 11 October. Attendance costs R100.
