Today’s world is extremely stressful and each individual must find ways to cope with life’s demands.
“I believe self-care is basically anything that you do for yourself that feels nourishing or helps you cope,” says Ansulene Prinsloo from JUSTBLiSS, a luxury brand that makes soaps and other beauty products.
She will be one of the exhibitors at the French Market at Villa Avianto on Saturday (05/11).
Visitors can enjoy the wide variety of exhibitions with products on sale at this early Christmas market.
Ansulene established JUSTBLiSS in 2020 after a difficult period in her life. She decided to find her purpose by making self-care and self-love a priority in her life and sharing it with the people around her.
She began experimenting by making beauty products with natural ingredients, and found that hemp seed oil has incredible properties. “The combination of essential fatty acids that it contains, is in perfect balance and matches our skin’s natural oils,” she explains.
Her target market is women older than 35 years who would rather use natural products on their body, hair and face. She says she has learnt that younger women and teenagers have also started using her products.
Why does Ansulene think natural products are better for you? “Non-toxic skincare products allow your skin to get the benefits without the damaging effects. If you use products with artificial ingredients, you are putting toxic agents on your skin and this means that there will be irritation and long-term damage from extended use. “Rashes, itching, redness, inflammation, loss of elasticity, and many other issues are attributed to chemicals found in some skincare products. These chemicals include sulphates, phthalates, parabens, phenoxyethanol, and glycols. The use of these toxic agents in popular skincare products is an alarming problem that many people are not even considering,” she says.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, she completed an online course and decided to create the JUSTBLiSS online shop herself. “It took me three months. I literally had to Google every step in the process. Our middle children, both programmers, found this quite funny, but at the same time were also quite impressed with their mom, who they thought didn’t know anything about computers, programming or websites.”
Come and have a look at the variety of products at the market.
The market is open from 08:00 to 15:00 at Villa Avianto in Kwaggafontein.
Entry costs R30 and R10 for children from Gr. 1 to 7. Children 6 years and younger enter for free.
