The Free State U16A squash team won the Interprovincial Squash Tournament held from 14 tot 19 June at venues accross the country.
The Free State boys’ U16 A-team that competed in the tournament in Pretoria, won gold. The U16 B-team came third.
There were 55 squash players in the Free State teams that took part in the tournaments for the U11 group in George, the U13s in Gqeberha, the U14s in East London, and the U19 group in Cape Town.
The Free State U14 girls who played in a combined South African Country Festival (SACF) team, placed third.
Coach Michael Deutchman recons the Free State players continue to be a force to be reckoned with across all age groups.
“We regularly produces top-ten players in the various age groups.”
