Two cases of murder have been opened at the Bloemspruit Police Station today.
The first murder was that of an unknown male found with an open wound to his forehead lying at the side of the road in Grassland.
Lt Col Thabo Covane confirmed the body was discovered by a woman on her way to work at around 05:00. She alerted the police, who went to the scene and opened a case of murder.
Any member of the public that can help identify the body or who has more information relating to the murder is asked to contact the police.
In the second incident, at around 07:00, the body of Makoos Emmah Kortman (43) was discovered in a street in Phase 7, Bloemspruit.
The victim suffered multiple stabbings to the side of the neck and chest. The police and other roleplayers were summoned to the scene, and another murder case was opened.
