The young pompom group of the Ad Laudem Independent School in Universitas, Bloemfontein, competed in a national championship for the first time this week and achieved a fith place.
This is after they came third in the provincial championship of the Federation of Dance Drill, Cheerleading and Majorette Sport South Africa (FDDCMSA), which was held at the Jim Fouché High School on 16 June. They competed against five other pompom groups in this provincial competition.
The national championship started on Monday (11/07) and will end today, again being hosted at Jim Fouché.
