This year the Remembrance Day Parade, better known as the Poppy Parade, will take place on Sunday, 12 November.

The local venue for this year’s parade is the grounds of the the Boer War Museum and the Women’s Memorial.

This year the paratroopers of Rooiplaas, as well as of the Paratrooper Veteran’s Organisation (PVO) and the Airborne Riders, will be the main driving force behind hosting the parade.

The Bloemfontein Scottish Band will bring some glamour to the parade.

Braai facilities, as well as a cash bar, will be made available for use to everyone who would like to have lunch together.

Those interested, including members of the Moth Club and all veterans, can join the day’s activities.

The programme, starting with the parade, will start at 10:30 for 11:00.

Those who want to lay a wreath can call Chappies van Zyl on 082-698-4905.
