The learners of the Eunice High School excelled at numerous eventsoccasions this past week.

On the international golf courses in Scotland, Gabbi Venter took first place at the St Andrews Junior Ladies Open. She rosehad risen to No 1 in the golf rankings of South Africa in April, and won the Nomads SA Girls Championship, held in Sun City, in July.

The school’s u.14 hockey team won their match against Menlo Park High School in the Top 12 hockey tournament. They are the third best u.14 team in South Africa.

Elizabeth Fich was crowned as thereceived the award for top goal scorer in thisthe u.14 Top 12 Hockey T tournament.

Eunice’s first hockey team came second in the Super 12 hockey tournament played at the Hoër Meisieskool Oranje from 5 to 7 August. They won all their pool games and drew one andUnfortunately, the team lost to Oranje in the final match.

Taheera Augousti received an award for the best midfielder in this tournament.

Four ladies took part in the Cross Country League 7. In the junior women division (6 km) Valeska van Zyl came third and Vanisha Wilson fourth; in the u.14 (4 km) race Kassidy de Lange came 5th and Amelia Vincent 8th.
