The Free State was, again, a notable absentee at the South African National Boxing Organisation’s (Sanabo) cadet and junior tournament in Limpopo from 24 to 29 September. Insufficient funds was again cited as chief reason. Club managers lament the lack of support.

This year the province only featured in one national tournament, in Durban during July, winning four bronze medals. On the podium were Botle Thabatha, Sebina Lekhelebane, Daniel Neethling and Khumo Ditshidi.
