Young rugby players are taking to the playing field and battling it out during the national UXI Cross-Border U20 Club League competition, which now underway.

The league incorporates young players from the central, northern and southern parts of the country.

The central competitors are of the Griquas Rugby Institute (UXI), Central University of Technology (CUT), Cheetahs Institute of Excellence (UXI), Bloem Rugby Academy, North-West University (NWU) Eagles, and the North-West Vaal.

On Saturday (29/07) the UXI Griquas will play against the NWU Eagles at the Ramblers Club, starting at 14:30, with local teams UXI Cheetas playing against CUT at 16:00, also at Ramblers.

The UXI group is offering a 50% bursary to matric learners interested in attending one of its rugby institues. Matrics may enter at Ramblers on Saturday.
