With the victorious Springbok rugby team arriving from Paris at OR Tambo International today, supporters in Bloemfontein will have to wait a little longer to congratulate their team locally.

The champions beat their arch enemy New Zeeland Saturday in a nail biting final of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in Paris, France.

The world champions will embark on a four-day trophy tour celebrating with supporters in Pretoria, Soweto and Johannesburg on Thursday, 2 November, before they visit the fans in Cape Town on Friday, supporters in Durban on Saturday and East London on Sunday.

According to SA Rugby the locations have been selected for population size.

Satellite tours to Bloemfonein as well as Nelson Mandela Bay and other centres are sceduled for 2024.

According to SA Rugby, the 2019 victory tours for the previous win, was abandoned because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Route maps and timings will be published at www.springboks.rugby, on SA Rugby’s social media channels and by local authorities in due course.
