Members of the Free State Branch of the South African Chefs Association donated more than 2 600 liters of soup as part of the Chefs with Compassion #67 000 litres Challenge for Mandela Day. Chefs from the Protea Hotel, Southern Sun, Food and Beverage Institute (FBI), Olive Chef School, the Hospitality and Culinary Acadamy and the Central University of Technology (CUT) all cooked soup for diffirent charities.
