Everything is coming together swimmingly for the exciting production Moments – I am Young.
This musical performance, for which youths between the ages of 8 and 35 years could apply, takes place on Saturday (22/07) at Leopards and Lace in Bloemfontein.
A group of 34 performers attended a two-week workshop during the school holiday. This included 21 dancers of the Louise Fourie Dance Studio.
This is the first time Willie Venter, a well-known producer, choreographer, and creative director, went all out to involve talented young people for a show of this magnitude. It is a musical with a unique story.
“It is a version of Mamma Mia!, but with Afrikaans songs and English dialogue,” Venter explains.
The musical production gives participants the opportunity to sing, dance and act.
“It was amazing to see how their confidence grew during the week,” Venter said on Thursday (13/07).
Audience members can look forward to a vibrant show celebrating youthful talent.
