Team claims national second place

The team of the St Andrew’s School Bloemfontein represented the Free State in the South African Top Schools Squash Tournament held in Pietermaritzburg from 10 to 12 August.


The team of the St Andrew’s School Bloemfontein represented the Free State in the South African Top Schools Squash Tournament held in Pietermaritzburg from 10 to 12 August.

The team ended second in the tournament, which was played on a points system in a super sixes format.

The team of the Zwartkop High School in Centurion, representing Northerns, was the overall winner.

Saints beat Maritzburg College by 5 – 0 (15 games to 0), Michaelhouse by 4 – 1 (12 games to 5) and Grey High School, from Gqeberha, by 4 – 1 (12 games to 4).

The team lost against Selborne College by 2 – 3 (9 games all) and Zwartkop High School by 2 – 3 (8 games to 9).
