After a successful, soul searching visit to the Southern States of America just over a year ago where there was no shortage of inspiration and motivation, Bloemfontein based singer and songwriter, Trevor Bouwer is about to launch his new solo album, The Acoustic Sessions.
Trevor used his time and experiences from being abroad to write a soulful, warm and touching album in which stories are told and experiences shared.
The full, 13 track album is heavily influenced by his time spent in Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans and Texas.
True to his roots, Trevor’s song writing is still story based and is a lot more personal than some of his previous work.
The stripped down acoustic songs are based in soft rock with a generous portion of Country Music flavour, topped off with a hint of Southern Blues.
The album is being released worldwide on 25 February, and is followed with the official launch at the Aasvoël Club on Friday, 28 February where he’ll be sharing the stage with South African legend, Koos Kombuis.
After this, Trevor will be promoting the album in Johannesburg for a while before he returns to the USA later this year where he’ll continue to promote his album and song writing, particularly in Nashville.
The Acoustic Sessions by Trevor Bouwer will be available on all major streaming platforms on 25 February and is worth having a listen to – particularly with your favourite glass of something nice in hand.
