The summer auditions for 2024-’25 Bloemfontein Children’s Choir (BCC) membership will be held on Wednesday, 31 January.
New members between the ages of nine and 15 can book to take part in the auditions.
The choir look forward to performances in South Africa, as well as a European tour in 2025.
In 2023, the choir performed at the first National Conductors Convention in Cape Town. The BCC was the only children’s choir in the country to be invited to perform at this event.
The BCC also had a memorable tour to Kimberley and it was an absolute highlight to conclude the year with a performance with the Drakensberg Boys Choir in December.
The choir toured to Europe in 2022, visiting countries like Belgium, France and Germany, with an exceptional performance at Euro Disney.
In 2024 the choir will undertake a coastal tour, performing with the South Cape Children’s Choir, the Tygerberg Children’s Choir and the Cape Town Children’s Choir.
“We are also looking forward to church performances, recordings, gala concerts, and a performance with the Free State Symphony Orchestra,” the director, Werner Stander said.
The BCC is planning an international tour to Europe in 2025.
